All- Be aware of the MAJOR gotcha when messing with the Tach gen drive gear. Bec ause of the angle that it engages the coupler this gear and the air distribu tor gear can slip off the accessory drive coupler very easily and you may no t know it. It can then get chewed up by the coupler damaging the oil tube w hich feeds the accessory drive. The air distributor gear drive shares the s ame coupler. If any of the gears get out of place you have to come in from t he other side of the accessory case which requires removing the compressor. Removing the air distributor rivals the air compressor as to which is worse . Major headaches and cursing results. You must ensure those gears are pro perly engaged. M14p.com did a nice article on this with the ugly pictures t o prove it. Jill/Kevin, George and others can provide sage advice. Good luck!- Hoot Sent from my iPhone > On Feb 27, 2016, at 8:59 AM, A. Does anyone have a source for the appropriate pneumatic tailwheel for the original Russian Yak 55 tailwheel yoke? Is a new axle required? Spacers? Has anyone used a Beringer tailwheel? John B

Agreed, get one from George. There are some issues with the shaft from the a ccessory drive itself. A quarter inch plate will not work without some CNCin g. I have one from Aerostar SA in Romanian but it is not for sale. Will be glad to take a picture of it so you know what you are looking for. George has th em. I recently replaced my new Chinese stainless exhaust system with a US manufactured slip joint type. Used but in good condition. The Chinese one is therefore available for sale. It has operated for a grand total of 86 hours and is in new condition. Cleaned up by bead blasting a few days ago. Comes complete with a set of cylinder sealing rings (which are not included with a new system), a removable extension for the LH side which considerably reduces smoke in the cockpit (from smoke system on LH exhaust only) and a complete spare set of section joint seals. See attached photos. Please contact off list at wlannon@shaw.ca. Walt
