Subject: | Yak 55 Matco tailwheel? |
Hi John B,
My Yak 55M has the original Russian Tailwheel. I can still get the
correct tire and tube for it. It works just fine. I would never change
it.
Not sure if that applies to yours. Have you lost the Russian hub?
I have seen a lot of Yak 55Ms with the Scott tailwheel conversion. The
Scott tailwheel changes the on ground attitude to a slightly less
inclined position. That means a faster landing speed in a 3 point
attitude. Alternative, it means landing tailwheel first with a rapid
transfer to mains =93 a less smooth return to mother earth.
Regards
Royden

Subject: Yak-List: Yak 55 Matco tailwheel?
Does anyone have a source for the appropriate pneumatic tailwheel for
the original Russian Yak 55 tailwheel yoke? Is a new axle required?
Spacers?
Has anyone used a Beringer tailwheel?
