Fellow Listers-
Who has had good luck with the original Russian tailwheel tire and tube?
I'm thinking of trying the original set-up.
Are new tires and tubes available? From where? Do they hold air?
Russian, or are they from somewhere else?
Thank you!

Subject: | Killer deal on a CJ |
Gang,
In my 15 years of doing this I don't know I've ever seen as good a deal on a CJ
as the one I have right now. Contact me off line if you are looking for a 400hp
CJ with all the bells and whistles, 3 Screen Dynon Skyview, and more. The
engine, prop, and airframe alone are worth more than this plane will sell for....owner
is under financial pressure and needs it moved now. If someone doesn't
buy it quickly I just might, and then the price will go back to market value,
so move fast!
Barry

I have a mystery tail wheel here, I have no clue as to it's origin or
application, but think it might be Russian. It is NOS in perfect condition.
The OD of the rim is 128.62mm
One rim has 156, the other 141 stamped on it
Rim halves are serrated to prevent tire from spinning on the rim.
Side to side the wheel is 129.11mm wide
The bearing ID (axle size) is about 19.09mm
Bearing has the number 7604 on it
Anyone out there know it's application??
Best,
Doug

I'm sorry Doug my fault. By a side view, I meant where the axle goes through.
I can tell it is a Russian wheel, but the way it comes apart tells me a lot too,
and if it is the design I am familiar with, I'll know by looking at the side
view showing the axle hole.

Mark,
It is the "normal" split lock ring type of wheel.

I don't think that is a YAK tailwheel Doug, at least not for a 50. It looks close.
But I am going to go over and check mine tonight and take a picture to be
sure. I have a spare so I can take close-ups.
