Does anyone have a spare oil tank screw for an 18T. It is the one that tightens and holds the oil tank strap together. It has a thread on each side with a hole in the middle. Thanks, Ant.

Hello everyone New Yak 52 owner on the list. I was advised that this would be a good forum to discuss all things Yak and more because someone here has probably experienced or seen it before. So here goes. After the last flight, I was not able to get the engine to idle any lower that 40%. Subsequent run-ups indicate the problem is still there. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Also, would anyone know where one could obtain a tool kit for the Yak 52. The previous owner did not have one. Thank you Stefan -------- Stefan Corriveau stefancorriveau@hotmail.com Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=456880#456880

Stefan- It is quite possible that the outer part of the throttle push-pull housing moved in it's clamp, or the clamp may have moved on the engine mount tube. Sometimes a thin shim is required to prevent the clamp ears from being bolted tightly together, allowing the clamp to tightly grip the outer housing or engine mount, respectively. Stefan:: I had that happen long ago. What caused it was a n air leak in the induction system. The engine had drain tubes installed in the three low er intake tubes. One of the fittings had broken which caused a leak in the i nduction system. As soon as I put a temporary plug in the fitting the idle w ent back to 26%. When it was leaking I think the idle would not come down u nder about 38%. Or close to that value. Also you might check the tightness of the induction tube gland nuts. Also ga skets wherE the tubes connect to the Cyls. Could also be a cracked induction tube. Good hunting Gary. LAS. From: Dan caldwell <sailor2645@aol.com>
I am stumped as to how the Yak 55M tailwheel hub comes apart. My tire is worn and I need to change it. I took both circlips off but they only seem to retain the roller bearings. There is a retainer ring with three indentations on it. Do I need a special tool to unscrew it? Dan Caldwell Sent from my iPad
