You really don't need a socket Justin. You can use a pair of channel lock p

Excellent info guys, thanks much-
These big nut jobs are typically tough (ie-LPS1 soak and breaker bar
req'd), or generally easy to remove? Looking for any pitfalls before I
stumble into them.
Thanks again all-

The first thing to check is to make sure your snot valve is 100% closed and
not leaking. Then check for leaks on the banjo fitting on the compressor,
crush washers tend to leak sometimes if reused. Also check the line and B
nuts for cracks. If the above are tight, and without leaks let me know. I
have built up a special test tool to check compressor output. 90% of the
time the snot valve is the culprit.

On my CJ (if the snot valve is closed) and it starts doing this, it's time
to service the air dryer/filter.

Two suggestions-
Remove the compressor output check valve and clean it thoroughly. You will need
new crush washer when reinstalling.
Remove the snot bottle and black flush it with avgas through the input, output
and drain fittings. You can submerge it in avgas and shake it around, then drain
it. Repeat until what comes out is clear.

It should never be so tight that you have to use a breaker bar to loosen it.
To tighten, turn the nut until it stops. Do not gorilla tighten it. THEN bac
k it off until the bolt hole lines up with the slot in the axel.
