I recently did a little work on a friend's CJ and noticed through the Oil Cooler outlet (at the underbelly) that wasps or hornets had nested in the air passages in the Oil Cooler almost completely closing off the airflow. Now this was not visible from the inlet where most of us carry out our daily inspection. There had always been a plug in the inlet and these pesky critters had sneaked in through the "Back Door" So if you're going to plug the oil cooler inlet don't forget to make a plug for the outlet also. I made mine from a block of foam rubber and glued in a red tag so I don't forget it during my pre-flight inspection.
