Now this was not visible from the inlet where most of us carry out our daily inspection. There had always been a plug in the inlet and these pesky critters had sneaked in through the "Back Door" So if you're going to plug the oil cooler inlet don't forget to make a plug for the outlet also. I made mine from a block of foam rubber and glued in a red tag so I don't forget it during my pre-flight inspection.
