    Or you can buy one of the standard LED bulbs and with the aid of some RTV fi x it in the existing reflector and be done with the problem ( better lightin g as well).     Thanks, but, the bulb that I want to replace has two filaments, one for landing and one f or taxi and I doubt I can get an equivalent Led version??     Hi Michael, how are you ? You could fit various lamps, the diameter is 160mm I believe, but you have to check this. We had a standard H 4 there but as we dont need a taxi light at all I have fitted a HID bulb in a search light lamp for anti collision purpose permanently on. Unfortunately it is mounted too dipped to be really effective at that so I will have to go at it once more. Our inspectors dont care much about it, so far, certified or not.
