    From: "ChangDriver" <capav8r@gmail.com>
The formation team I fly with are changing the landing lights on the RVs to high intensity lights to enhance visibility of the formations as we approach venues. The two Yaks are working on a solution as well. I am looking to see if anybody has changed the CJ bulb to something with more output. Either a Whelen, LED, etc, etc. Any ideas are welcome. I wound up cleaning and rebuilding the check valve on the compressor and cleaning the snot bottle/valve. The check valve was fine, not sticking and operating fine. However, after removing the bottle and soaking it in gas there was an incredible amount of sludge that came out of it. Once the gas ran clean thru the bottle and out the valve I put it back on and it works perfectly. Something that I should consider doing every other annual or some number of operating hours. Hope this helps others on the list. Craig Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=460327#460327

I replaced mine with an led system from Rigidindustries.com. They specialize in lighting for military, law enforcement, off road vehicles etc. They are USA made, extremely rugged and an assortment of lighting products in all sizes, lumens and features. The lights come complete and it took a few minutes to connect a ground wire and the hit wire from the old Chinese light. They are not cheap but the quality and durability is outstanding with so many options. Many people ignore the ant bottle when their airplane has a problem building air pressure. Good idea to flush it out every couple of years. Highly recommend replacing both deposit filters with swagelok SS valve. It replaces the corrosion prone lower section. Less than $75 each and easy to do. Wish I had known about it 9 years ago cause it can mitigate one of the entry points of corrosion in the pneumatic system. Should be an article about the mod in next Red Alert mag. I have a PP presentation on the mod I can email to you if you like. Contact me at hkgibby@yahoo.com if interested. Hank Sent from my iPhone > On Sep 7, 2016, at 12:13 PM, A. Does anyone know which fuel pressure transducer feeds which cockpit on a YAK 52? Trying to diagnose a low fuel pressure reading in only the forward cockpit. Aft gauge reads properly. From the cockpit looking forward near the pilot's right foot is it the right (outboard) or left (inboard) sender? The inboard one is a bear to get to. Just as soon stay away from that one if we can avoid it! Thanks in advance! Fly Navy! Mark Davis N44YK

Dennis, My A&P is trying to do it by himself. I was just hoping they were wired consistently and give him a head start. The wiring harness it too short to swap the leads. The forward cockpit gauge indicates very low, but does come up off the peg with pressure. The hand pump just barely provides enough pressure to move it.
