On the other hand, I feel strongly that it is misleading to say "no crankshaft damage on prop strike", unless the blades are so weak that they fall apart at the sight of the ground! The original Russian V-530 propeller is wood construction, and the MT props are composite covering a wooden core, and in both cases will tend to break before causing engine damage, unless the ground-strike is severe. But the potential problem is not just the crankshaft, which is pinned together and so can move after a significant blow, but more likely to be in the satellite gears in the gearbox which can crack following a ground-strike. Another potential area of damage is in the supercharger drive, of course turning at over eight times engine speed. I'm simply saying that there is no propeller that can prevent engine damage from a prop-strike. What is more relevant is whether the engine stopped; how much the blade was damaged; what was the speed of the engine at the time of impact et cetera.
