Subject: | Re: Housai CHT on shutdown |
'Morning,
In my CJ in cool temps of Seattle, I keep my gills open fully on T/O, then
I let throttle position determine gill position on approach and landing.
Dragging in low w/ power means gills open, while throttle to idle means
gills (typ) closed to prevent rapid / shock cooling cylinders.
In cruise I like to let my Housai settle between 185 (lowest) to 195-deg C,
running 590 mm MAP at about 2050 rpm. Seems to keep me running about 12.5
gal/hr.
I use 20W50 X/C oil, btw.
Hope this helps...
