Hi folks, =C2- We are putting the finishing touches on RPA SE Region plans for Sun N Fun ( SNF) this year and hope to have those out to you in the next week or so. In the meantime, I wanted to give you a little pre-gouge for event planning p urposes. =C2- I spoke to Bill Fischer, Executive Director, EAA Warbirds of America and he asked that we pre-register our airplanes before the day of arrival. This g ets you in and out in about two minutes and makes his job much easier. =C2- Here is the link to pre-register your warbird type aircraft for Sun 'n Fun: http://www.flysnf.org/sun-n-fun-intl-fly-in-expo/warbird-arrivals/ ( Hint : When entering your phone number use this format 1234567890 no dashes, dot s or parenthesis =C2- Here is a link for the warbird activities: http://www.flysnf.org/sun-n-fun- intl-fly-in-expo/warbird-arrivals/warbird-activities/ =C2- On the SNF Website it mentions discounted tickets for WOA members. However, no need to purchase tickets if you=99re bringing your airplane. Sun 'n Fun will provide two weekly admission wristbands and a car pass for each warbird aircraft registered. =C2- As part of the =9CSun 40 Sprint,=9D Craig Payne has organized a dinner right there on the Warbird Ramp for Wednesday evening and Craig sai d he might toss in a case of the hard stuff too. The =9CSprint 40 BBQ =9D dinner is only $15, but you need to get your tickets early. Here =99s the link to purchase tickets: https://17021.blackbaudhosting.com /17021/tickets?tab=3&txobjid=9a145ab6-d877-4133-861d-03bda669f446 =C2- Bill and Kim Mills are graciously opening up their RV to serve as the RPA H Q more details and schedule of events to follow in a week or so. =C2- Sun N Fun is going to be great this year =C2- Jon Blake =C2- =C2- =C2-

Recently the nose gear strut on our CJ became increasingly soft and bobbed s ignificantly during runup. So I recharged it with the prescribed 294 psi of n itrogen, but noticed a couple of days later that it was bobbing somewhat aga in. Now I've never had the strut's seals replaced in the 16 years I've owned the plane because it wasn't necessary. Have any of you bright fellows undertake n this task, and if so, what is the process? To be more precise, what is the process a qualified person, not I, would undertake? Blitz Fox 415-307-2405

Blitz, Info to use as a "yard stick" for your fix or replace comparison once you have a handle on labor costs. It just might be cheaper, faster, better to replace than to repair especially if your bushings and scissors are worn and getting loose. Complete new nose gear, less wheel, axle and damper, but with forks is $1650.00 exchange. Thanks, Doug. I love you too. ....No, I mean it. =F0=9F=98=89 BTW, Jim Selby mentioned some stuff he saw an ad for that you pour into the s trut to soften old seals. Kinda like the leak-stop goop we used to pour into a leaky radiator. Anybody used this?
