Subject: Yak-List: WB Article.
About a year ago I did an article for WB mag. Finally got published in Marc
h issue. It "re-introduces" the CJ-6. The reader will be treated to a Ron M
alec photo of a formation lead by Jon Blake (you owe me one). Chris Dilley
took some of the others that were submitted but it's up to the editors what
goes in.
This was part of an on-going effort to publicize these fine aircraft to the
market. BTW, my current CJ is up on Barnstormers for sale. Beat them bushe
s and see any buyers shake out, I say.
Pappy, this one's for you bud.

Hi ,
I know that New Zealand CAA gave the agreement to a workshop to make the modification
from Housai to M14 engine.
contact :aerotech@ihug.co.nz
I gave all information and doc to my UK workshop in case of and to prepare any
necessary exchange .
In France there is no agreement to work on it , All EU CJ6 are under UK registration
(5).
If UK CAA have an example , outside US FAA for experimental , that could clearly
help.
best regards
Bruno

Jon,
Dennis is correct, the problem is most likely grease on the drums ie bad
wheel seals. I normally change my wheel seals at every conditional as I
have the wheels off anyway repacking the bearings. Seals are in stock if
you need them.
FYI (not in the manuals) a new brake drum measures 7.675 ID
to my knowledge no one has ever come up with a max wear measurement. But
the min pad measurement (thickness) is listed in the Type 6 Primary Trainer
Maint Manual.
At this time only the parts manuals are on the web site, in the future I
plan to add the maint manuals as well.

" The "cocktail" is fully described in the manual, which most of us have but for
some reason fail to read. "
