might slide over the end of the crankshaft output and not rigidly fixed - allowing
removal in one piece ? Or... not !

Yes, the accessory drive will come off the engine without needing to remove the
oil tank. You'll need to bend the air start pipes a bit but it is possible.
Metal in the intake tubes sounds like something has come adrift in the supercharger.......That's
going to be messy.....
Good Luck

Subject: | brake metering valve |
In the CJ:
If I put the rudder pedals full left or full right and squeeze the brake ha
ndle I hear the brake system fill and then all the noises stop.
If I put the rudder pedals to the middle position and squeeze, there's an o
n-going pneumatic noise that I'm not quite able to describe.
Probably means my QS-2 brake metering valve is in need of TLC, yes? I see
that there's an overhaul kit for it... is that something that takes well to
an overhaul or best to just get a whole new valve?

Yes. Order the rebuild kit from Doug. Shouldn't need a new one unless it's
horribly corroded.
