Fuel burn or fuel leakage?? One possibility if your fuel header tank has been modified to include a quick-drain fitting: In flight normal positive pressure on the lower surface is sufficient to force upwards any un-reinforced sheet metal access panel. The header tank panel is a perfect example. It is large and un-reinforced and, in my estimation, the centre portion could move upwards 5 or 6 mm or more, easily enough to activate a poorly placed quick drain. Check it out. If suspect, check the drain hole in the dome is open and push the panel upward by hand. If it was a Yak I'd say take a close look at your primer. in a Yak if its n ot in the center it continues to feed fuel to the engine.
