Mode S / ADSB installations?
      
      Hi all,
      Question for you all re ADSB installations...
      The New Zealand CAA are requiring all Mode S transponder installations to
      have Approved Techincal Data. In this case we are fitting the Trigg TT31
      transponder and although they have an STC list for many types it
      understandably does not cover Nanchangs, Yaks, Fairchilds, older WACO's,
      RV's etc etc.
      
      I understand the FAA also requires approved installations so could someone
      tell me how you are getting around it with 'our' types of aircraft. Is it
      perhaps that the FAA only requires an approved installation for Standard
      Category types such as 172's, Cherokees and so forth?
