I want to change a reduction gearbox on a cj6 engine. Has anybody done this and
if so how difficult would it be.

Hi Walt
My current engine crankcase developed a crack.
I have an spare engine that i can replace it with that had a prop strike with a
hanger door.
I have been told that I can use that engine but would just feel better if I replace
the gearbox

My strong advice is that the gearbox should be shock-load tested after
anything more than a very moderate ground-strike and this is particularly
true with the metal propeller.
