Subject: Radio Mount
I want to install a new radio (Garmin 430) in my CJ, but with panel space being
somewhat limited I'm thinking about a lower center mount, below the switches
and between the legs as I've seen similar done on other's airplanes - see attached.
I also heard the MIG-15 has a factory mount in this location. Does anyone
have pictures, or even better, drawings of such a mount? And most excellent
would be the panel itself that could be purchased. Also, for anyone with experience
with such mounting locations, what are the pros and cons?
