Hey Guys,
I have a Yak 55M that does not have an iris or shutters installed. I found an iris
from a Suk, and would like to install that. Anybody done this before? Any
problems I should know about?
Thanks,
Jay

I have replaced the Yak shutters on the 18 T with a Sukhoi iris for easy access
and better view of the engine. Expect to be faced with a LOT of friction in the
actuating linkages and lever. I do not know how the system works on a Sukhoi
but anyway we fitted a longer lever and bigger knob in the cockpit for that
reason so be prepared for some troubles.

Subject: | Need Help Troubleshooting Starting Problem |
My CJ won't start. I've determined that the shower of sparks isn't firing (with
the air off and the start button depressed, I hear the air valve solenoid open
but the shower of sparks coil does not buzz).
I've replaced the coil, but no change.
I've measured voltages at the coil when it should be getting power, and it doesn't
appear that the coil is getting any power.
I'm faced with troubleshooting "why". Does anyone have any insight into the wiring
of the starting coil/starting circuit?
Thanks!
