Mine's ok for now but may need service soon... What's the best way to add fluid? I presume Mil-5606 is best? Ie- inject 5606 fluid thru orifice on L/hand side? Syringe or needle req'd? Swing nlg to far L or far R first? Anyone with previous exp to share? Thanks heaps- Justin On 13:41, Sun, Apr 8, 2018 wrote: > Details in the service manuals available from Doug Sapp. > > > *From:* owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com < > owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com> *On Behalf Of *Justin Drafts > *Sent:* Sunday, April 8, 2018 1:13 PM > *To:* yak-list@matronics.com > *Subject:* Yak-List: RE: CJ6 shimmy dampener service > > > Ladies & gents, > > > Can anyone give advise and/or procedure(s) for servicing the CJ6 nose gear > shimmy dampener? > > > Mine's ok for now but may need service soon... > > What's the best way to add fluid? In any case before using 5606 you need to ensure that seals (existing or ne w) are neoprene. If in doubt measure and soak in 5606 for 2 days, If dime nsions or shape change they are natural rubber and incompatible.
