The original compressor has suffered a failure, and broken the shear coupling. The replacement compressor arrived without a shear coupling, so I'd like to refurbish the existing one. Does anyone know if there is a Western equivalent for the fasteners between the two segments of the coupling?=C2- ThanksMikeAustralia ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 05:05:05 PM PST US From: Roger Kemp Subject: Re: Yak-List: Compressor Shear Coupling Mike The shear coupling is a separate part with its own part number. To my knowle dge there are no US shear pin equivalents. Some have used a 10 penny nail to replace the shear pin. I would not recommend that because an engine kick back (back lash) could dam age the compressor and the accessory shaft spline gears.
