Kelly Airpark in Castle Rock, CO. Worst. Political, no turbines allowed. They don=99t like the noise. IT=99S AN AIRPORT!!! Can=99t land on the grass unless you are on the board. (That actually happened) I lived nearby the airpark for 16 years. 2 times did I see anyone flying. I know folks that would have gladly given their house away to leave faster. Another one says that you can=99t have more than 2 airplanes? Silverwest Estates in Westcliffe, CO. We looked at another; No building of an airplane. They must be flyable the day you move in.. No pancake fly-ins allowed. Wheres the fun in that? Just remember, it=99s an airport. Be careful about putting retired people on the board. It becomes their little fiefdom. They have nothing else to live for. I=99m retired but I have the big picture. Where are you building it? Owners must be licensed pilots. If you sell, it is to a licensed pilot. They must own one or more airplanes. The widow or widower is grandfathered in. > On Jul 23, 2018, at 05:27, jlpartington@reagan.com wrote: > > A group in my area are looking into setting up a live-in airport. We enjoy a comfortable mix of actively employed and retired airline, military and GA pilots. We also count a number of non-pilot homeowners as members of our community. Home built and experimental aircraft are welcome, with an EAA Tech Counselor, DAR, A&P, EAA Flight Advisor and several Flight Instructors among our residents. As you have noted, the rules governing the community will define its success. Start with good ones, review periodically, and update as required. Our website is www.falmouthairpark.net Go to the Airpark Information page and you will find a link to the Airpark Covenants mid-page.
