Subject: | Re: M-14P engine teardown inspection |
It was two years ago. After installing the M14-P engine and Whirlwind MT14 prop,
the test pilot took up in the air for the test flight. On the descend, the prop
RPM went to 3500 for a few seconds. He immediately pulled the nose up and
reduced the RPM. Then landed. If you want to have the more details on this, I
can ask the test pilot to call you.

Hi there,
Try Jill at M-14P.com
They overhaul carbs for the M14P with all the right gaskets and diaphragms.

Royden

Hi all,
Noticed a small fuel drip after shut down coming from the carb last few
flights - time for carb overhaul? Or something simple.
Engine behaves normally otherwise.
This one has been on aircraft for 7 years.
Doug has new ones for $1200, but looking if there is a path to revive these
carbs as I have another in a box approaching 10 years old so in need of
replacing the diaphragm etc I'd imagine. Shame to chuck them out!
