Dennis Savarese" Subject: Re: Yak-List: Intake tubage Typically, I place the rubber seal on the tube and work it into the case. =C2- You may try first coating the outside of the seal, after it is on th e intake tube, with a very light coat of fuel lube to help it slide into pl ace.=C2- Or put a light coat of fuel lube on the inside of the hole in th e case.=C2- The difficulty (as you know) is getting the first threads on the collar to "bite" because the rubber seal is not seated deep enough into the hole.=C2- A few times I have had to push the seal into position afte r the the tube is in place using a plastic tool, which I fabricated from th e handle of an old tooth brush.=C2- Dennis From: Jon Boede To: "yak-list@matronics.com" Sent: Thursday, August 30, 2018 1:31 AM Subject: Yak-List: Intake tubage Swap the carb - easy peasy. Does the tube go in first and you work the rubber ring in after, or is (supposedly) easier to start with the rubber ring at the top of the tube and slide the tube in through it?
