I dont have experience with Nanchangs before, but an experienced CJ 6 pilot flew with me and told me this airplane stalled at slower speeds than his. The documentation I got with the airplane about the post VGs tests said it reduced the stall speed , gave better roll authority and improved spin recovery. I do have Vgs and really like them for bush flying in my 182, better roll authority at slow speeds, more elevator authority when landing slow (have them under the horizontal stab too) they do really do their magic in my 182 so I am a fan. Here is an example of how they work in my 182. https://youtu.be/YQU2KXjrI6U -------- www.Backcuountry182.com Cessna 182 P CJ -6 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=484070#484070 ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 04:23:30 PM PST US From: JON Subject: Re: Yak-List: First hrs training in the CJ 6 Beautiful airplane... I may have missed it in the video, but get into the habit of moving the gear latch to the right when putting the gear down. More than one person has acc identally knocked the gear handle up with a knee or foot when exiting the co ckpit. Doug Sapp awarded me my first =9CBone=9D at All Red Star 15 or 1 6 years ago when he inspected my cockpit and found the gear unlatched.=F0=9F =98=A9 Best wishes.
