Subject: | Re: Housai Engine Support |
There is a group of RPA folks touring China right now and have visited the
factory in Nanchang. =C2-I'm hoping we can get some definitive=C2-info
from them when they get back. =C2-A month or so ago there was a video abo
ut the new production from the national=C2-Chianese TV. =C2-What I reme
mber seeing was 4 CJ6 in different stages of production on an assembly line
. =C2-And was told that the translation said they were going to use a lar
ger engine in it.
I know for sure the Senegal=C2-airforce wants to upgrade their entire CJ6
training fleet to M14p engines. =C2-They even made a trip over here to i
nspect one of ours that had been modified.
Admiditly I have not personally seen anything written down in black & white
from any official sources. =C2-Mine=C2-came from someone who was trans
lating the video.

So what are they using? K-model rather than the A-model?
If so, I'd be keen to get my hands on a K if anyone knows a source....[/quo

Handsome CJ!=C2-
I may have missed it in the video, but get into the habit of moving the gea
r latch to the right when putting the gear down. More than one person has a
ccidentally knocked the gear handle up with a knee or foot when exiting the
cockpit.
Doug Sapp awarded me my first =9CBone=9D at All Red Star 15 or
16 years ago when he inspected my cockpit and found the gear unlatched.=F0
=9F=98=A9
Best wishes.

O great Yak-list:
Does anyone have access to factory-recommended strut pressures for the Yak-50 MLG
and tailwheel? We've "felt our way to it" after a strut rebuild but would be
good to understand if there's actually some data out there.
Thanks!
