Subject: Coming Soon - The List of Contributors - Please Make A Contribution
Today! Each year at the end of the List Fund Raiser, I post a message acknowledging everyone that so generously made a Contribution to support the Lists. Its my way of publicly thanking everyone that took a minute to show their appreciation for the Lists. Please take a moment and assure that your name is on that List of Contributors (LOC)! As a number of members have pointed out over the years, the List seems at least as valuable a building / entertainment tool as your typical magazine subscription! Assure that your name is on this year's LOC! Show others that you appreciate the Lists. Making a Contribution to support the Lists is fast and easy using your Credit card or Paypal on the Secure Web Site: http://www.matronics.com/contribution or by dropping a personal check in the mail to: Matt Dralle / Matronics 581 Jeannie Way Livermore CA 94550 I would like to thank everyone that has so generously made a Contribution thus far in this year's List Fund Raiser! Remember that its YOUR support that keeps these Lists going and improving! Don't forget to include a little comment about how the Lists have helped you! Best regards, Matt Dralle Matronics Email List Administrator

=0A =0AI have my first auto plug CJ-6 motor and have been having trouble st arting it. In frustration, I replaced the front plugs and gaped them as adv ised on this forum. She started right up and ran like a top for about 4 fl ights and then nothing. Not hitting at all on starting. Free air spark is good. The mag cap shows signs of arcing, more carbon than I have ever see n. =0A =0AI have not found any obvious flaws in the mag, any suggestions? =0A =0A =0AJim Partington=0A817 817 6806

Do you want the cylinder or the valve? Sent from my iPad > On Nov 25, 2018, at 10:51 AM, JON <Saber369@comcast.net> wrote: > > Does anyone have a MG actuator for a CJ? Hi Jim; -----=9Cmore carbon than I have ever seen=9D sounds ominous. Take a very close look at the mag. housing close to the removable HT transf er pin for evidence of carbon tracking. If you find tracking evidence here (or anywhere else for that matter) it must be removed. In some cases =9Ccleaning=9D is not enough and will require som e material removal. If that requires removal of the =9Cred=9D coating that coating must be reapplied. It is Glyptal 1201 and is available in brush or spray bomb form. If the HT transfer pin is involved replace it. I would recommend the Russia n rather than the Chinese pin. If none are available I can fabricate one f or you. Further thought: Will it start and run if you are holding the start button in??? If so it is running on the start ignition system from the boost co il rather than the magnetos. That would tend to confirm a magneto problem Best; Walt F rom: jlpartington@reagan.com Sent: Sunday, November 25, 2018 8:57 AM Subject: Yak-List: Mag arcing I have my first auto plug CJ-6 motor and have been having trouble starting it.
