Thats what Im working on for my CJ. I have made drawings of the tail cone, took all measurements And have drawn the e etail beacon accurately in position of the CJ tail light. Our tail light comes out of the tail cone, leaving a 1 3/8 steel sleeve. Its about 3/16 thick, so has enough meat to carefully grind the inside to meet the 1.413 opening needed for the unit to slide into. The opening, now is 1 1/8 inside, so it doesnt have to be enlarged much. A Small fairing can be made to streamline the tail cone to the larger tail beacon flange and I think will look like its made for the CJ. Thats my project now, as I dont want the wing unit either. I dont feel the tail beacon will get bumped, like the wing will and I also already have strobes and dont need that conversion. I also dont mind the tail light being on all the time!
