The Motorstar factory in Romania has recently released a service bulletin
regarding the various alternators and generators acceptable for instillation
on the M-14P series engines. (see attached a copy). It does not really apply
ot the experimental aircraft, but could be of some use to those operating
M-14P engines in other countries where their CAA is looking over their
shoulder.
Many M14P users are not aware that Motorstar in Bacau Romania is
the last standing manufacturer of the M14P radial engines. They produce some
new engines, sell factory overhauled engines and overhaul customers engines.
Their overhauls conform to the original Russian specifications including all
the mandatory replacement parts and the 3 step testing. (run in on electric
driven stand, first run, disassembly and inspection then second run in).
They also warranty their engines.
