Hi Jon; With regard to your last paragraph: The stop for the mixture control is m ounted on the throttle control so =9Cabout half way=9D would be it=99s normal position in cruise flight. The carb. lever should als o be in the =9Cabout half way=9D position at that time. That assumes that your CJ is not one of those that were modified by cutting off that stop on the throttle. Walt From: Jon Boede Sent: Tuesday, August 13, 2019 1:48 PM Subject: Yak-List: new carb works great, but... I got a brand new carb from Doug and I've been flying on it and it's been g reat. But... when I'm leading and I burn 15 gallons, -2 burns like 13. Same rati o... since Lead should burn less, I'm probably running way rich. I know how to adjust it, I'm looking for "that's about a 1 turn" or "that's 2 turns" on the flight mixture screw suggestion. Also, with the new carb the mixture lever in the cockpit only goes about ha lf way up even though that seems to be full travel stop to stop on the carb itself... any observations there?
