Is there anything special about the original paint or the skin coatings I need to be concerned with? My original paint is well past looking authentic and it's definitely not worth sanding down and painting over there is so many low spots it might just as well go back to bare skin. I'm getting ready to start a major repaint project on my CJ and I'm wanting to redo the gills while I'm doing all this. I'm looking at doing the entire canopy and budget for all of this excludes me doing the Malcolm upgrade, but I'll be putting new rollers on the frames and having it painted while off as well, but having talked to a couple of other CJ owners the big thing it seems is not to take the glass out if the frames are not on the rails to maintain shape. So if thats's the case has anyone built a frame to do this and if so what do you suggest. From: "727gs" <727gs@att.net> My buddies are ferrying a Lockheed Harpoon from Shelbyville (KGEZ) to Indy Regional (KMQJ) tomorrow and are inquiring about a wingman to take a photographer to shoot some air-to-air. Thought I was going to be able to but something came up. If you're interested, they'll be out there 10:30-11:00-ish. Big blue twin-engine, looks like a giant Twin Beech in Navy colors. Can't miss it.
