    Subject: Are Huosai magnetos "handed"?
    From: "jay-dub" <flyjnw@gmail.com>
I've just had mag failure (number 1) and have managed to source a replacement if necessary. I haven't had chance to diagnose yet so it may just be a short but if it does require replacement, are Huosai mags handed? As in are mag 1 and mag 2 the same or different? The answer determines the next steps. Thanks. -------- CJ and Yak-52 owner Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=494698#494698

Mags are interchangeable left to right/right to left. Check the high voltage stick for arcing On the sides. This will cause the mag to become inop. Do this b4 you replace the entire mag. Also make sure the points are opening and closing. If the points dont open, the mag will be dead.
