I ordered 2 magnetos from Plamen Petkov (avioserviceblg) them. They were painted fresh silver on the outside, but completely rusted and corroded once you pull the caps. Completely junk. They offered to send new "pencils, coil and insulator", but by the time I pay someone to rebuild them... it really didn't seem worth the trouble. He said his mechanic checked that they had spark, but did not remove the caps. Not sure we=99re you are in the world. I got two zero time mags from Richard Goode and they are perfect. Look like new inside and out. Upgraded coil location and coil upgrade. Working perfectly since installed. Better Mag drops for sure. If you want another source I would recommend Richard highly. Like always : new paint on shit and they always have an answer! Magneto's have a spark.... For my compressor : pressure is tested and compressor were overhauled by military, so we can not refund... I have returned both air compressor and they have refused to take them 8 times from the postman! Now they are again at home. So I have two air compressors, the one you can see on pictures, with rust, old oil, worn cylinders, piston and rings but they have a court case on their side... Stay away these crocks. I wouldn't trust those mags...period.=C2- Why not let the seller know he has two choices, either refund your money or you will let the "world" know what kind of junk he's selling and passing it off as "overhauled".Dennis On Monday, February 10, 2020, 2:40:19 PM EST, ggtyler <ggtyler@gmail.co m> wrote: I ordered 2 magnetos from Plamen Petkov (avioserviceblg) them. Hello Bryan, The nose actuator is removed through the right-side fuselage access panel. Seems obvious, but I did a lot of crawling around in the cockpit before noticing that panel. Don't lose the flow restrictors! They are small, thin, cone-shaped metal that fit over the ends of the T-fittings to precisely regulate the airflow rate. They tend to stick to the fittings then fall out at a later random time, perhaps when carrying the actuator across the hangar. Very hard to find later if drop. I think they are only on the normal "Main" pneumatic system side of the T-fittings. The emergency system does not have them, which is why you use a special procedure for ground-testing the emergency gear system so they don't slam down and cause damage: http://www.yak-52.com/maintena.htm#Gear%20Retraction%20/%20Extension%20Test%20Procedure M-14P, Inc. is great. Incredibly dedicated group. I took their engine class and really appreciate them. Looking for hints and gotchas for getting them out and back in.
