It is with great sadness that I share this with you...
One of the best CJ whisperers has gone West.
Minneapolis Crystal (MIC) based Kelley Monroe passed away on Friday after b
attling brain cancer for 8 years.
Kelley was one tough cookie when it came to fighting cancer...and he fought
it long and hard.
Over the last 20 years, Kelley IRAN and/or rebuilt eight CJ's.
His attention to detail and workmanship was approaching, "unmatched."
Kelley was also a jet guy.
After "the wall" fell, he and Ed Erickson went to Russia and bought L29's.
Kelley owned and IRAN them as well as a Jet Provost.
The guy was an incredible wizard and willing to share his knowledge with an
yone.

Kelley was like a brother to me...I can't imagine having a flying season wi
thout him.

d a spare stock CJ motor and Kelly needed one for his latest CJ referb. =0A
=0AAs Kelly and I talked about my motor and his project, I was so impresse
d with his knowledge and attention to detail that I sent him my motor and w
ent up and reclaimed it when I bough the airplane.=0A =0AMeeting Kelly and
seeing his work was a very special event in my aviation life. His passion
and tenacity for airplanes were on display from the moment I first spoke t
o him, He was a remarkable addition to his little section of aviation. I
