As many of you most likely know by now all shipping out of China has
stopped, the Nanchang factory is closed. I'm told Wuhan and Nanchang are
closed cities, everyone is prohibited from leaving their homes unless they
test for the virus. They must test both coming and going. My vendors are
closed, unable to get export permits, even if they had the parts to ship.
My freight forwarder tells me they (the Chinese) are expecting the
situation to last 3 to 4 months, but all admit that's just a guess at
best.
Currently my stock is pretty good, but I do expect shortages if we are
looking at 90 to 120 days before we can place a new order. Add on the time
it takes to ship Beijing to LA and we are looking at 120 to ?? days at the
minimum before we can expect additional parts. It might be wise to
inventory your "spares" locker considering how long it might be before we
can restock.
My health continues to improve, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Best,
Doug

I get quite a bit of oil on the belly when flying acro. Most appears to come
from the oil tank vent. It was suggested that I connect a hose between the oil
tank vent and the preoiler. The stock metal horn remains on the crank case
vent to providing venting to the front. I may put in an air-oil separator but
wondering about this connection idea. [/list]
