I'm told Wuhan and Nanchang are closed c ities, everyone is prohibited from leaving their homes unless they test for t he virus. They must test both coming and going. My vendors are closed, un able to get export permits, even if they had the parts to ship. My freight forwarder tells me they (the Chinese) are expecting the situation to last 3 to 4 months, but all admit that's just a guess at best. > Currently my stock is pretty good, but I do expect shortages if we are loo king at 90 to 120 days before we can place a new order. Add on the time it t akes to ship Beijing to LA and we are looking at 120 to ?? days at the minim um before we can expect additional parts. It might be wise to inventory you r "spares" locker considering how long it might be before we can restock. > > My health continues to improve, thank you all for your thoughts and prayer s. > > Best, > Doug > >> On Tue, Feb 18, 2020 at 11:52 PM Yak-List Digest Server wrote: >> * >> >> ======================== >> Online Versions of Today's List Digest Archive >> ======================== >> >> Today's complete Yak-List Digest can also be found in either of the >> two Web Links listed below. On my Chang the Oil tank vents directly to to the mid case Vent and joins the mid case vent trumpet at its base. This is fairly common on late built Changs. This was there with the Housai before I went M14. The earlier ones vent the tank straight down the firewall. My Tank vent is like this: (https://postimg.cc/RJS9LyNL) I still get oil under the belly. seems keeping the Oil level down dramatically reduces the amount of oil splatter. Question is what is an acceptable min Oil level. Housai based limits we know are min 13L. However M14 in YAK is min 10L for Acro and 8L min for other activities. I have seen some mods with nose case vent T'd into the mid case vent then to the Oil tank ... then the hoping the Oil tank vent down the firewall is sufficient. Another mod is similar but an additional Oil tank vent is made down the firewall. .... still get oil down the belly. Another option taking the mid case vent line back to the firewall then down the firewall to atmosphere .... works like an old fashion road draft tube Oil everywhere ! Is it ok that the vent hose from the oil tank has to go uphill to get to the crank vent? I imagine this hose will fill with oil.
