very robust yak/Nanchang discussion group on FB so you may want to check it out.
Many people are now posting their maintenance questions along with pics on
FB. Just go on Facebook and search for Red Star Pilots Association and join
the group. What do you have to lose?

They are not. The Yak 50s main air tank is slightly smaller. Dont remember the
actual volume though. Its age-related.

I replaced my main tank with a 52 main tank hen it developed a pinhole leak. The
square side crush washer in the 52 and replacement round edge rubber washer
was a bit of a challenge. Resolved that with crush washers from Doug.
This has been about 6-7 years ago now. Still holding air as she awaits me to finish
refurbishing her.
