    Subject: Cylinder Head Temperature Gages
    From: "Clouddog" <Clouddog22@gmail.com>
I have a stock Housai with one cylinder head temp probe on the #4 cylinder reading in the front cockpit and one on the #1 cylinder reading in the rear cockpit. Nether sparkplug has the crush washer installed. The rear gage has always read 20 degrees cooler which is normal but both were rock solid. I have cleaned the rings that go under the spark plug and made sure the wiring forward of firewall looked normal. These should be two independent readings going to two different gages or so I think. During flight, both gage readings are low and varying constantly on both gages. When i shut down, both gages read steady and normal. What would cause both gages to act stupid and then settle down after aircraft is shut down? I would think they are grounding out on the frame due to vibration during the time the engine is running but BOTH!! There has got to be a common connection I would think causing both gages to behave similar.
