As far as I know the Chinese and Russian brake pads are interchangeable. I
carry the Chinese pads in stock. Also carry brake assys, these are the
complete assy with the break expander tube installed. In short the assy is
everything which fits INSIDE the brake drum.
Shop tip: The brake pads are sometimes pretty rough and need a bit of
clean up to function properly. The pad must travel freely in and out of
the "carrier". Use a belt sander to clean up any burrs or roughness on the
ends and sides (NOT top and bottom) of each pad so that they move freely in
and out of the carrier as the brake bladder expands and retracts. If the
pads are not able to move freely individual pads will hang up causing
brakes to grab, not release properly and heat up. Doing this simple
procedure will extend the life of both the pad set and your brake drums.
We also carry new brake pads which are slightly oversized, they are
(thicker) than new stock pads. This enables you to get a bit more life out
of your brake drums.
Hope this helps,
Doug
