Subject: locking nuts and oil fittings
Y'all,
I've seen two oil outlet fittings slowly work themselves loose now because
the lock washer or star washer didn't quite do its job.
I'm not a fan of nylock nuts on aircraft, so I'm looking for other options.
Anybody have an opinion on "JAP Nuts" aka "Jet Nuts" for use in this situat
ion? I've found M5 jet nuts that meet the MS21042 MIL-SPEC and I'm thinkin
g of using those.
