Hi; I may have mis-interpreted your post to mean cylinder hold-down nuts. If so
my apology. Are you referring to the magneto retaining nuts? or ?

I agree that the "pooling" of the drool is now further than the snot bottle - but,
I argue that the line and components are all SS, except for a brass elbow+union
(perhaps better than the stock snot bottle?), and is purged every flight,
sometimes during the flight.
Working nicely so far and saves getting my pants and shoes sprayed when the wind
is just wrong. :)

This is beyond cool, but with the cowling off and engine running (prop blast) do
you have to run the "plumbers" torch at full bore to get a rise?
Just wondering...

Main Air gauge ... I mean what happens ?
Nothing happens - the check valve is upstream, so all pressure is kept in the system.
I have noticed that after about 20 minutes with the relief valve open,
my bottle/system pressure comes down from 45 to 42. Thus, I have some leak at
high pressure. When hangared, and bottle valve closed, it take 2+ days to bleed
down, so system is pretty tight at low(er) pressures. Hope the airplane
can't read, because sure enough, now I've jinxed it.
