To add to the intake leak theory, do not forget to check the manifold pres sure hose between the firewall and the supercharger case at the top of the engine.=C2- And don't forget to check the primer hose from the firewall t o the standoff on the #2 cylinder intake tube and then over to the primer l ine fitting in front of the right mag that goes into the supercharger case. I would think if you primed 5 or more time and pulled thru the same amount that you would be getting fuel in a fe w cylinders to at least get it to fire off. There is also a finger screen o n the carb but since you swapped carbs that shouldn't be the problem. You s ay no suction at the 2 carbs you have tried. That one does not make sense b ut then a lot of things in this world make no sense to me anymore! Is all y our mixture and throttle linkage set correctly? Don't know if you can get s omething backwards or the mixture is way to lean for starting or the thrott le is too far back not opening up the carb. I'll bet when you figure it out your going to shrug your shoulders and slap yourself in the head! That's h ow I ended up with a short neck and a flat forehead. Sometime the obvious i s blinding. If that is an early Huosai with a lower cylinder intake drain kit mod. inst alled there is the possibility of a failed weld on one (4,5 or 6) causing a significant=C2-mixture change. Walt

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a couple of questions please.- When you removed the mags, were they sent out for overhaul?=C2- If yes, by whom? - What is the model number of the magnetos installed on the engine?=C2- M 9F, M9-35, etc. - When the mags were re-installed, what was the timing set to?=C2- ie: ho w many degrees before TDC or after TDC depending on the model of the magnet o.- When the mags were=C2- re-installed, what cylinder was used to initia lly set the raw timing.=C2- Raw timing is my term for properly positionin g the drive coupling on the bottom of the mag to coincide with the proper m agneto timing specification. The next time you're working on the engine, bring cylinder #4 up to TDC on the compression stroke.=C2- Remove the top cover on either one of the mag netos, then lift up the distributor cap and lay it aside.=C2- Take a pict ure of the top of the mag making sure to include the rotor fingers position and the high voltage stick and email them to me at my email address, dsavar ese0812@bellsouth.net.Dennis On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, 06:04:09 PM EDT, Reagan <jlpartington@r eagan.com> wrote: Weeks of trying, I have moved 200 miles away, have given the same result.M otor was n=C3=A9e to me after a =9CUS=9D rebuild and conversion to auto plugs (several years ago). =C2-I mounted it and got several good runs on her. =C2-Sa always, she sat for several months and would not mak e full power each mag and shower of sparks gave different results.Removed a nd fixed mags. =C2-Would not start so I do not know if original issues we re fixed.=C2-Checked timing several times. =C2-Shower of sparks is stro ng and makes it to each plug. =C2-Primer working ( removed and checked) a nd gas coming out intake drains. =C2-Plugs are not getting wet. =C2-Cha nged carb with one that was working, no change. =C2-It did hit on about t hree on first try today but never after that. =C2-Put starting fluid dire ctly into carb and air flow , suction, at the carb could Not be detected.Fr ustrating, simple needs. Did you check the primer jet for a reasonable spray forming, a poor running down of fuel from there is not great for starting ? As to no suction on carb, my guess the blower drive may be defective. Take out one intake elbow and look inside for checking the blower rotation, maybe with endoscope, I am not sure one can see it without one - anybody ? Subject: YAK18T actuators overhaul kits
Hello dear List Long time no writings but still reading you with passion. I am looking for someone to provide me with some overhaul parts in the air system. I think I already bought from Jill or Dennis but do not remember as it was long ago. It may well be Dennis who provided me two or three automotive kit and Jill the uplock cylinders overhaul kit I do not remember well. More precisely I am having some problems with all my landing gear actuator. All seals and landing gear uplock cylinders. So I am looking if there is some overhaul kit for these parts. Seals and internal aluminum wear parts I also would like to change these rubber balls inside the T-connectors located on the landing gear actuators (these are situated in a T connector linking main air system and emergency air located on the body of the landing gear actuator.) Also am looking for overhaul kits for the one-way valves situated just behind the firewall. (Hoping they are all similar?) if anyone could help me on the subject I would be very gratefull thanks a lot and fly safely Didier -- ____________________________ Didier BLOUZARD Portable : +33 6 51 84 48 02 Email: didier.blouzard@gmail.com <didier.blouzard@anolistech.fr>
