The simple fact is that no one has done extensive research on this, but my strong
advice, if you have high compression pistons, particularly coupled with a PF
supercharger, is to increase the octane rating of the fuel. Either by mixing
in 100 LL or with the octane boosters that are available for the automotive racing
industry.

Thanks Richard - I am running into an issue where my home airport and next closest
airport is getting rid od 100LL and moving to 94UL, so I am considering my
choices.  Might have to let go of my 55M after 17 years of ownership  :(

It doesnt make much of a difference from  the surface. KY-2 had stopped to produced
for many years and KY-2C is the improved one.
