I purchase the entire nosegear strut assembly complete. All I had to do is remove the large pin holding the nose strut near the lower firewall, lower the unit, reinstall the new assembly and put the tire back on. Took less than an hour by myself. I purchased the entire nose gear assembly. Basically plug and play. Slide the large pin out of the upper fork, disconnected the drag link, put the new unit on, re-attached the drag link, installed the tire, did a gear retraction test and taxied straight for the first time in 5 years.
