I always found that drilling worked best with a piece of wood behind to
support the part. I have a small piece of 2x4 that is riddled with holes
after being used in numerous places as a drilling 'backstop'. In some
smaller places an even smaller piece of wood can be handy.

Builders,
I'm trying to complete a wiring diagram from the AeroElectric
guidelines and have a question. Note 11 suggests that if an
alternator has a sealed internal type voltage regulator it's better
to convert it to an external type. I believe the Stratus alternator is internal
and I'd
like to know how one might accomplish this. Wiring is not my strong suit.
Respectfully appreciate answers to this one.
Thanks again

Larry,
My car mechanic is also a genious in modifing the electric system in
cars (some foreign are realy something), he is now away for Xmas
vacations, but if in the first week of Jan you still need another
opinion, please send a note. He has done lots of "implants" in
strange cars.
Saludos
Gary Gower.
