I always found that drilling worked best with a piece of wood behind to support the part. I have a small piece of 2x4 that is riddled with holes after being used in numerous places as a drilling 'backstop'. In some smaller places an even smaller piece of wood can be handy. fwiw -- Grant Corriveau Montreal Zodiac 601hds/CAM100 C-GHTF ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 03:16:59 PM PST US From: "Aaron" Subject: Re: Zenith-List: Skin drilling --> Zenith-List message posted by: "Aaron" I put a picture of my (heater motor high speed drill) on Matts' Photo-Share site, so watch for it soon! Note 11 suggests that if an alternator has a sealed internal type voltage regulator it's better to convert it to an external type. I believe the Stratus alternator is internal and I'd like to know how one might accomplish this. Wiring is not my strong suit. Respectfully appreciate answers to this one. Thanks again Larry C.
