Larry,
I went thru the same thing. What 'Lectric Bob recommended is the external
overvoltage module and disconnect contactor and an in-line fuse (fig. Z-14).
That's how I wired my Stratus per his drawings. Only a few hours ground
running but it runs. I'd be happy to send details, email me if you'd like
to discuss it off-list.

Speaking of Aero Electric. Has anyone purchased their book within the last
few months??
I submitted an order before Thanksgiving and have heard nothing, nor seen my
CC charged. I then emailed to ask about it only to not get a response.
Any ideas? Is Bob still alive?

I just purchased it from "builders books". Recieved it in just 1 1/2 weeks.
Builders books is a great place to buy books. <A HREF="http://www.buildersbooks.com/">Aircraft

I am a scratch 701 builder and am using a Geo 4.0L with a Raven . I just
talked to Raven last week and they tell me they are going to start
development of a mount for the sidewinder set up. I just purchased a 2002
engine with 1,112 miles on it. I have everything from the fly weel to the
fan, the wire harness, computer, starter, alternator, air cleaner etc. for
$1,000. Rotax eat your heart out. They are out there, I found mine on the
auto recyclers web site It was just one hr. from home right here in
Southern California.
