I took your advice and just purchased a 1,112 mile 2002 geo tracker complete
from flywheel to fan for $1,000. The engine still has the break in oil.
Thanks for the advice.

I have a rebuilt corvair if any of you guys are
interested. I did it following William Wynne's
coversion manual. I started building it for a 601HD
but just have to many things going on. I have got the
block together, heads on. OT-10 cam, the pistons rings
are new, rods reconditioned and checked and balanced.
Cylinders with new sleeves from Corvair Underground.
Bell housing already cut, have WW special studs, crank
turned and bearings installed. Also have harmonic
balancer and oil pan. Basically it has the heads on
and torqued not much more to go. If interested email
at skyguynca@skyguynca.com that is also my website,
you can go there and check out the aircraft I have
built so far to see what kind of workmanship I do.

Well, I've got most of the fuselage clecoed together (gotta go visit my
buddy with the 4 foot brake to remake a couple of parts), and I'm
getting ready to cut the plywood forms for the upper fuselage bulkheads.
Now is the last chance to decide whether to go with gullwing doors,
sliding canopy, or the stock Zenith bubble, front hinged of course!
I asked a few months ago about gullwing doors and got this pic from one
of the list members: http://lightflyers.com/gullwing2.jpg
Very nice looking project. I sure would like to see some more gullwing
pictures. If anybody has built a Zodiac with gullwing doors please post
the website or email a picture to me. I'd be much obliged :)
Thanks,
Rick Pitcher
