I am far from you (geographically) as well and
just recieved my xl plans last month. I usually don't
write much either, but it is guys like Chief (ret)
Metz that have kept me alive over the last few years.
They tend to know their s#!t. I have enjoyed the
positive comments posted on this site over the last
few months, and ignored the "not so" positive. I look
forward to joining you as a builder when I return to
the good 'ol US of A. Starting rib forming blocks
next week.

Here's hoping that everyone and their families have a great holiday season.
To keep inspiring you current and future builders, I have added a photo

Hello, all
I think this would be a good moment to say thanks to all of you who have provided
people like me with advice, wisdom and encouragement over the past (in my case)
three years.
Special thanks to those that take the time to keep web sites - I know well how
much
this activity steals from your building time.
It's been an interesting road, and I thanks you for participating in the journey.
Merry Christmas to all [or Happy Holiday Season, if you prefer :o) ]

Hello everyone.
My name is Magnus Matthiasson and new on the list.
I orderd plans for the 601XL last week and hope to
start building early next year.
It is nice to know that there are other builders
out there when taking on a project like this.
I have been reading the list and like what I see.
Some of the webpages are just great!
Happy Holidays

Well I should have checked that url out before sending it.
It quits 2 minutes before the end of file. Kind of wrecks a
good story if you can't hear the end of it.
This link has the last half of the story including the ending.
Thanks to everyone that pointed this out to me.
I hope you enjoy it.

Eric,
I am sorry for you.
The problem WITH YOUR PROJECT is not the plane or the designer
either...
Is YOUR BURROCRACY (donkeycracy in english :-) there will be no plane
or designer in the whole world that would satisfy the shit rules
imposed buy your goverment!
The worse thing is there is no way to get them enough papers. Your
amateur aviation is a hell, not because of you the builders or pilots,
but for your goverment.
Nothing to do there either, is not a democracy so YOU cant change your
goberment...
Apologize to Chris Heintz he designed the plane, not your CAA rules.
Saludos

Fred,
If you think (sometimes) that you have problems with the FAA rules...
You should look (and live) other countries Aviation Authorities, one
of the worse are the english, because they cant get a "under the
table" solution to the problem ;.)
Maybe then you can understand letters like this one... Keep democracy
HIGH! in USA. Fight the "rules makers" that you think failed, voting
against them.
Down of the soap box. And Merry Christmas to all.
