--> Zenith-List message posted by: Gary Gower <ggower_99@yahoo.com> Hello Mat, Here in our Chapter/Club, after years of 1,000's of "things to do" in our Aerodromes Club, that were reapeated in every monthly meeting forever... we all decided to make a very easy law: "The member that says what is needed to do, becomes the direct resposible of getting the job done..." ;-) :-) :-) Maybe could work here in our list. It has become a lots of fun in our monthy meetings, and this way we WON in two ways: 1.- What ever is done is highly appreciated by all the membership (because they work on the tasks). 2.- "Everything in the Club is now perfect" for the Guys that never work... but always come with the "you have to do this" comment in every meeting. :-) :-) :-) OF COURSE Nothing personal to you! Your work with the airport directory is GREATLY APPRECIATED AND ADMIRED by all of us, just this came as a "flash" to my memory when I saw your post. I think, could also work in everyones local Chapter or Flying Club. The Directors Members of your Club will appreciate this idea of course... Best Wishes to all this 2003... --> Zenith-List message posted by: "Al Young" <armyret@one-eleven.net> Steve- I hust finished my nav lite on the back of the rudder. Just feed two wires thru the grommet to the fixture. Put a couple of ring terminals on the two wires and hook them up with the screws provided. One wire needs to be long enough to reach the inst panel and the other needs to be long enough to ground to the fuselage somewhere. I may add a couple of quick disconnects to these wires later when I install the rudder. Al Young. Starting the second wing 601XL.

--> Zenith-List message posted by: "Greg Ferris" <ferret@wmtel.net> Funny thing about that was that I called Lockwood when I first encountered the problem, and they didn't suggest heating the elbows to turn them. Maybe they wanted to sell me a couple of elbows. My guess is that replacing the elbows is one of those "better" ways to do it, that really doesn't make a real difference in practice. --> Zenith-List message posted by: "Graham Byass" <gbyass@cygnus.uwa.edu.au> Matthew Just a suggestion ... if a builder is overseas then surely the distance criteria is not a factor. Maybe an extra data input marked "Foreign" or "Overseas" and provision for inserting the country would suffice. I am not aware of how difficult this would be to implement but it is an idea!!! I am in Australia and it would be handy for me to know who else in the country is building. Graham Byass Perth Western Australia -----Original Message----- From: owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-zenith-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of Matthew Mucker Subject: RE: Zenith-List: Homebuilders list --> Zenith-List message posted by: "Matthew Mucker" <matthew@mucker.net> I'd love to make a worldwide database available! However, my site calculates distance between two points based on latitude and longitude. In order to calculate distance from a person's postal code to either another postal code or an airport, I need lat/lon data for said postal codes and airports. I was able to find lat/lon data for United States postal codes (ZIP codes) and airports. I haven't found such data for other countries. If anyone can forward to me a source for such data, I'll gladly update the homebuilders directory with that information. -Matt do not archive > --> Zenith-List message posted by: Gary Gower <ggower_99@yahoo.com> > > I tried a few days ago, but as a builder from another country, cannot > complete the format. > > Hope soon a worldwide data base is available. > > > --> Zenith-List message posted by: Lowell Metz > > <lowellmetz@earthlink.net> > > > > Ok all of you builders out there.....
